The init string may take a little fiddling. AT&F1 usually works OK.
517-6000 is the dialup access number. This is a Buffalo, NY exchange and is not long distance to anyone who can call the city of Buffalo without an extra charge.
A 9600 baud modem is the minimum speed required. the Port Speed should be either 57600 or 38400 for a 14.4 and 115200 or 57600 for a 28.8 or 56K modem. If you experience a lot of errors you may want to change the Port Speed to the next lower setting, down to 19200 for a 14.4, down to 38400 for a 28.8 and down to 57600 or 38400 for a 56k.
Flow Control MUST be RTS & CTS. If you cannot use CTS/RTS you may experience frequent transmission errors.
